“I love to exercise and I wanted to find a place where I felt comfortable, I kept going to the gym but I just didn’t feel good. I felt aches and pain.
Its so difficult to find somewhere for pregnancy. My round ligament pain was so bad I was in hospitial.
I joined the Pregnancy Program and the pain went away.
I'm feeling so good, I feel active and I feel like it helping with the pregnancy.
Even my husband is like “oh my god you keep so active, I’m so impressed” I feel so good doing this program, not just the physical part but the emotional part, you just feel relief, like all that stress goes and also you keep active.

Jenny says “I was a runner before and that wasn’t an option for me. This pregnancy is through IVF and I wanted to be very careful with what I was doing and a little bit nervous to do much movement. That’s just my own personal thing.
I started to do some online movements but it just didn’t work for me and I was getting pelvic pain. I knew about Active Mum and I just really wanted to feel safe in my movements.
As soon as I joined the confidence came back and I felt like I could actually move again, I started to feel like myself. Physically I wanted to feel good but it was about the mental health too, meeting women who are pregnant as well and just starting off the community!
I can’t rave enough about it, I’ve been so happy. The benefits I’ve seen physical are really great, I can stay active, my pelvic pain is manageable and I can do all the movements in class. I feel healthy, confident and ready for labour. As I’ve progressed through I’ve noticed I can go out and walk. Before with the pelvic pain, I couldn’t even walk down the street. I can do things that make me feel like I will recover quicker. Meeting the ladies and having that community has really helped me mentally.
“My grandma looked at me and said- You have showgirl legs. I have never been given that compliment before. I mean it’s not the reason to do it but I do get complimented all the time and I’m like Active Mum, Active Mum!!”
